Early Life in Agra: A Childhood Marked by Love and Challenges
I was born on August 12, 1978, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, into a lower middle-class family. My parents, Rajendra and Santosh Sisodia, were loving, but financial struggles were part of daily life. As the eldest of three sisters, my mother, despite her own challenges, was determined to provide me with the best education, even though she longed for a son.
When I was one, we moved to Mainpuri, where I started school. By age six, we returned to Agra, and my second sister was born. My mother was deeply affected by not having a son, which impacted our family. Growing up, I was sensitive and empathetic, aware of the emotional tension at home. I worked hard in school, but my dreams didn’t match the traditional roles my mother had in mind for me. While she wanted me to focus on household duties, I was determined to pursue education and break the cycle of poverty.

Education, Career, and Family: A Journey of Determination
Driven by the desire to change my circumstances, I dedicated myself to my education. After completing my 12th grade at Saint Conrad’s Inter College, I earned my BSc and MSc from Dayalbagh Deemed University, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA). During this time, I worked multiple jobs—counseling at IGNOU, giving private tuitions, and teaching engineering students—often working up to 18 hours a day to ensure financial security.

From Resilience to Reinvention: Building Success in Delhi
After moving to Delhi in 2005, my husband and I took a leap of faith and started a call center with just six computers. Our initial focus was selling mobile phones for a UK client, which brought early success and fueled our ambition.
This marked the beginning of our journey into the payments domain in 2009. What started as a survival tactic soon turned into a new path, one that would define the next chapter of our lives.
As we expanded into telecommunications, banking, and mortgages, our business flourished—until the 2007–2008 global financial crisis hit. The collapse of the U.S. housing market affected our clients, and we were forced to close our call center, facing months of uncertainty.
Just when it seemed all was lost, an opportunity arose with a UK client, Harris Isaac. He introduced us to Allied Wallet, allowing us to work as an Independent Sales Organization (ISO). This marked our entry into the payments industry in 2009, transforming what started as a survival tactic into the foundation for the next chapter of our business journey.
